Admiral Sanjay Roye is a multi faceted person with a passion to excel in everything he does. One of the most outstanding submariners of the Indian Navy, I have known him for three decades from the time he joined the arm and watched his most deserving rise while excelling at every stage and scaling the heights. Extremely intelligent, quick thinking, with clarity of thought and courage of conviction and outstanding leadership qualities, he stood out amongst his peers in the most demanding crucible of leadership - command of a submarine. As a senior in his formative years, it was a pleasure to interact with Sanjay throughout his professional career. As he nears the end of his naval career, he has a great deal to offer and I am sure, he will excel at whatever he does in his second innings.
