Rear Admiral Sanjay Roye is an accomplished Naval leader with 37 years of extensive experience in challenging VUCA environments across the globe. He has always been a top-of-the-class performer, and is a natural problem-solver and critical thinker who thrives in dynamic and ever-changing situations. He is adept at leading operations and strategic decision-making in collaboration with global stakeholders & key government agencies.
He has consistently demonstrated the ability to manage complex operations, and achieve results in high-stakes situations with an unwavering commitment to excellence, a disciplined approach, and strong decision-making skills, motivating and inspiring diverse and multi-cultural teams towards common interest, resilience and organisational success.
This was demonstrated during his command of the submarine fleet on the Western seaboard. He is a pioneer of nuclear submarines in India, having commanded the nuclear attack submarine Chakra, and is considered a subject matter expert in acquisitions, business partnerships and negotiations of multibillion dollars-worth strategic resources. He has extensive experience in submarine-building, weapons and aerospace domain, besides global project management. He is credited with the creation and command of the Gujarat Daman & Diu Naval Area, wherein he exhibited his espertise in high-impact initiatives, ESG, social development and growth.
