'The Journey in Every Shot: Storytelling Through Photography'.
In this post, I delve into the captivating art of 'narrative photography'. This is similar in many ways to 'candid' and 'street' photography, but you could include any genre to play into the narration, as I have in a few examples uploaded here.
To me, each and every image is more than a mere snapshot; it's a rich, unfolding story. I aim to dissect the essential elements that enable a frame to tell a story, focusing on aspects like composition, lighting, subject, and setting. As a photographer, I (and I am sure, every other photographer), see myself as a storyteller, where my camera is my pen and the world around me, my canvas. It's an interplay of how emotions, environments, and fleeting moments can be captured and conveyed, telling a story that resonates with the viewer. This post is about inspiring newbie photography enthusiasts to look at their surroundings with a narrative eye, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Sharing a few images, of how every image can take you on a journey, telling tales that might otherwise go untold. We could write a story for each of them - from 'Who's that girl?' to 'Love is in the Air' for that 'so in love couple'!!
